arggghhh

Realising that you are climbing up the wrong ladder and even though you are good at what you are doing right now, you'd rather be doing something else.

personally, I think chanel can do no wrong.

yeah sure, its a tad too big but it is still gorgeous.

It seems everyone cannot stop talking about the Chanel “hula hoop” bag at Paris Fashion Week. And that’s the whole point.

Remember the hula hoop bag from Chanel's Spring 2013 show? "It's for the beach," Karl Lagerfeld says. "You need space for the beach towel, huh? And then you can put it into the sand and hang things on it, and things like that."

Lagerfeld’s concept was exaggeration, which is certainly an extension of Fall 2012’s brazen oversize silhouettes as a segue into Spring’s more relaxed take on these shapes.

“How can Chanel do this to me?” one Tweeter asked in despair. “Well, I'm certainly not going to be seen in that,” affirmed another. And the worst: “Karl Lagerfeld is officially nuts.”

Let’s set the record straight: Like many have noted, the purse is outrageous, impractical and, most of all, expensive. And no, you cannot actually wear it, despite Lagerfeld’s little joke that it’s “for the beach.”

adele pen

I have finally figured it out. After years of brainstorming logos and styles and fashion types and all that, I finally came up with a name for my line and the style of clothing I want to carry.

I always wanted a name that represented me, something symbolic to show the world who I was and what I did. I tried too many different options. They varied from what type of store I thought I would have but finally I know what I want and I do not think I will be changing. I hope I do not.

I am going to carry a line that is classy, elaborate and elegant and yet playful at the same time, like me. and I do not know why I didn't think of this before, but I am going to use my own name. The line is called "adele pen" (logo on my left side bar)

Already working on making my store happen. watch this space

bite my style.

I've always had my own style, it encompasses a lot of genres so I just call it "colourful" plus I will never be caught without a bright bold colour somewhere in my outfit. Its my style and this means..... I define it myself,  I decide how its put together but most importantly, I like it. So when people turn around and question my decisions on my hairstyle, or my shoes or worse...my accessories, I get so mad, you know? Like, I do not say anything about their style so why in the world would they attack mine?

What were you thinking? What gives? Are you going through a phase? Are you serious? What in the world? Why would you do that? or just plain staring.................................that's what I constantly deal with. Someone once told me that the only dream I am ever allowed to have is to be happy and be surrounded by loved ones and that fashion is a stupid dream.

I believe in a lot of things and I will fight for them and defend them but for some reason, I cannot defend the thing that's the most important to me (after God and my loved ones), my style. I can't explain to them the statement I am trying to make (not literally). They laugh at me, tell me fashion is not a future to look forward to and make me feel terrible for wanting it. But the thing is, I'm happy with who I am, I love my style and I get it. should it matter that I'm different and other people don't get me? I get me. and that's all that should matter but while I know that, it still makes me sad to think that others don't.

I heart the 50's

I always wanted to have lived in the fifties. The clothes are to-die-for, the shoes are amazing and the accessories are simply irresistible. I love the cute little dresses and how they have so much movement. I keep telling people how I would have fit right in. I think my style is influenced a lot by this. This and 80’s pop. I just love to be colourful. What’s the point in excluding colour from your wardrobe? Rock it!!!!!!!!
Do you finally get my obsession? Like who would ever be miserable with such clothes on? Don’t you just want to scream “I heart the 50’s

on a day like this

I find that when you are not feeling too okay on a particular day, its best to wear something amazing, just so people compliment you a thousand times and eventually you start to feel good about yourself.

On a day like the one I am having today, I accessorise; nice big loops to draw attention away from the confused expression on my face, chains to make sure no one notices the stains on this old top, some cute bracelets and rings to emphasize the only nice thing about me in this particular moment, my manicure. and the cutest purple gladiator slippers simply because i love shoes.

personalities fashionalities

In my mind, things play out differently. I always put things into a fashion context so that it can make sense to me. To other people it may be confusing but it brings a little smile to my face when I do that. take for example my family.................

starting with the girls, if we were all to be a fashion item, my mother would most definitely be a little black dress. she is dependable and just like you can dress it up or down , my mum is the same. the little black dress goes with anything, it is stylish, (never goes out of style) and fit for every occasion but most of all, it is attractive........... no doubt.

my big sister............................original ruby necklace. it is bold, in your face and you can't help but love it. you will definitely notice a ruby when it goes by because of its beauty. just like a ruby, with her, what you see is what you get, if it changes colour, its only because of the light and even then, it will never change from the shades of red. it is timeless.

my little sister would without a doubt be the most colourful summer dress you ever saw. gorgeous, eye catching and you simply cannot wait to wear it, it is super playful and stylish and you don't know which of the colours most attracts you to the dress, you simply cannot choose because you love the way they work together.

as for the boys.....................my dad would be a leather winter jacket. it is classy, nice to look at and hard on the outside. (he likes to think he's hard that way) but on the inside he is just as mushy as the fur on the inside of the jacket and nice and cuddly and makes you warm when its cold out.

my  brothers.................and boys don't be offended that I am comparing you to women's items of clothing, if you know how much fashion means to me then you know how much I love you.

my big brother would be a pair of daisy dukes hahahaha (the image of him in those is disturbing) anyhoo, when the daisy dukes come out, you know it is time for fun, no doubt. everyone wants a pair of daisy dukes and you could never be depressed while wearing a pair of these. they liven up your summer wardrobe.

and last but not least, my little brother. (don't hate me) he would be a...............wait for it..............a lady gaga outfit. four words. stroke of pure genius. you never know what's coming next so you keep watching for more and even though you don't really get her style, you can't help but love her creations and you will always notice them. you don't know what keeps you hooked, but you can't stop.

FINALLY

my fashion journey begins.........

I love to just look at fashion....who doesn't? I rarely have much to say about other things but  it is my obsession with fashion that really gets me going. Its not just the main stream designers, runway shows and stores that amaze me (don't get me wrong, I love all this) but also the sidelines, like I like to call them. I love  fashion from all around the world and the more colourful and quirky, the better.

I plan on having my own line one day (just too broke at the moment) but right now I just go wherever the wind blows. I free lance here in my country and so far, not so bad but my real dream is to own these three lines, handbag line, little dress line and a jewellery line.

I love fashion and everything to do with it, my style is a bit different from everyone else's but it works for me and I love it.....................
